Let's just say that SS Ohio was originally an American fuel tanker, that she was ultimately manned by British officers and crew, and that her convoy was attacked repeatedly by an array of enemy submarines and aircraft before she successfully arrived to Valletta harbor (where she then was no longer maneuverable).
