Ohio State lands a transfer commitment from former South Carolina transfer safety Keenan Nelson Jr.
Six researchers have discovered a new vulnerability that can allow extracting sensitive data such as passwords, crypto keys, etc. stored in an area intended to protect the data. Intel chips allow programs to create a special storage area that is hardware protected and designed to let applications store sensitive data so it is secure. The researchers discovered by watching how the area is accessed and exploiting variations in how code executes, they could extract what was stored there.
