Anyone else watching 'Horace And Pete?' If not, I highly suggest it. It is a new show that is written / produced / directed by Louis C.K. You can only buy the episodes from his website, http://www.louisck.net
So far he has released 3 episodes. You can download episode 1 for $5, episode 2 for $2, and episode 3 (and all future episodes) for $3. It is a multi-camera television production, and Louis is financing the entire show himself. Each episode is right around an hour long.
The premise is that Louis CK is Horace and Steve Buscemi is Pete the 7th. They own and operate a 100-year old bar named Horace and Pete's, and come from a long line of Horaces and Petes in their family. Alan Alda is Pete the 6th. Each generation of the family had a Horace and Pete who ran the bar and passed it down to the next generation.
It isn't a comedy but it has its humorous moments. It is kind of dark. Very politically incorrect. It is pretty riveting. The writing is great. I am 2 episodes in and really like it. Actors on the show so far include Louis CK, Steve Buscemi, Jessica Lange, Alan Alda, Nick DiPaolo, Edie Falco, Laurie Metcalf, Aidy Bryant, and comedians Steven Wright, Nick Dipaolo, Kurt Metzger, and Liza Treygar. Also Paul Simon wrote and performs the show's theme song.
