As first reported by FootballScoop.com, the IMG Academy's Director of Football, Chris Weinke, is leaving the vaunted Florida athlete factory for a job coaching St. Louis Rams quarterbacks. (Current 2016 OL commit, Tyler Gerald, relocated from Portsmouth, Ohio, to Bradenton, Florida, to play his senior season at IMG.)

The academy lists Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, and Luke Kuechly on its notable alumni/trainees page. As you might expect by a team coached by Chris Weinke, it had become a hotbed for Florida State products, most recently being in the form of 2015's Deondre Francois. Weinke leaving would be seen as a blessing for any non-Florida State school trying to recruit from the academy.

Fun fact: IMG charges $68,500/year for boarding and $54,000/year for day school.
