As a reminder, UConn is one of the approximately 6723891209 schools currently under investigation by either the FBI or the NCAA or the NSA or the TSA or the CIA or INTERPOL or the NWA or me, Johnny Ginter:

UConn subsequently confirmed the news and added that it has "initiated disciplinary procedures" to terminate Ollie "for just cause." The school offered no further comment. But this decision is tied to the fact that UConn is currently under investigation by the NCAA. If UConn is able to fire Ollie for cause, it would save the school roughly $10 million that the 45-year-old alum is owed via buyout.

Kevin Ollie constantly underperformed at UConn, which in 2014 was awesome because the Huskies ended up winning the national championship as a 7-seed. The other years have not been as kind: since then Ollie and UConn have made the Dance once, losing to Kansas in the second round of the 2016 tournament.

"With cause" is kind of a gutshot here, but hey, I happen to know of a coach with a squeaky-clean reputation who just happens to be looking for a job right about now...
