I wonder how much this will effect the game plan. I know its only EMU, but there are always game plans. Tress may want to throw more. I am hoping he trys to get the running game going. Boom needs a buck fifty in this game. Wisconsin and Iowa need to know we can still run the ball.
Senior captain I know, but I'm not entirely sure why losing a RB with straight line speed is a bad thing. I hope Saine gets Wally Pipp'd by Hall and/or Berry.
I have nothing against Saine, he just can't seem to stay healthy and I have liked Jordan Hall since I saw him in the kick scrimmage last season, dude is just a playmaker.
Why do ppl think Saine isn't a good RB? He didn't do that well as a KR his freshmen year, ran straight into a lot of ppl, but he's improved leaps and bounds. He's a great back.

Saine would be a good NFL'er for the likes of Peyton Manning but he doesn't run consistantly enough. He catches that ball like few other running backs I've seen.
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
Again, while he might be great on the wheel routes, he's not going to scare a Bama. I'm not saying that Hall or Berry are better at this point, but at least they've shown the ability to cut.
He is still a good weapons to have. Regardless of his recent lack of production. He kicked it into high gear after he for his first start at Purdon't last season. Give him another game or two.

Right. Why is everyone so against Boom and Zoom? They are better than any one of us, and our coaches are better at making these decisions than any of us, so stop the farking nonsense.

Our O-line is not opening up holes right now. Rather, they're producing seams. Whose running style does that suit best? Jordan Hall and Jamaal Berry. Look no further than Berry's 67 yard TD, and Saine running into massive piles.
This has been my biggest gripe for the first 4 weeks. Both Saine, and Herron cannot run through weak arm tackles. Even in the EMU game Herron was running to the right side and a lineman was laying on his back and grabbed Herron's leg and dragged him to the ground. Herron should have easily broke this tackle.
Whenever I have watched Hall run the ball either on kick/punt returns or on offense he always seems to be moving forward. Not getting flopped on the ground by arm tackles.
Hopefully just a one game thing. He's gonna miss out on some serious yardage boosting.

On the bright side... this is a good chance for Hall and Berry to get some serious PT.

Give it to Jordan Hall more!

You're nuts. Sure his running game has not been up to par as of recently, but he is so dangerous in the slot.
I'll take my chances with Posey, Sanzo, and Stoney catching the ball, and with Boom and a combo of Hall/Berry as our homerun threat.
Plus, we don't need a slot receiver right now. We need a running game.

Saine has the most touchdowns of anyone on the team (aside from Pryor).
Saine: 2 Rushing TD's, 2 Receiving TD's, 207 all-purpose yards.
Herron: 3 Rushing TD's, 0 Receiving TD's, 216 all-purpose yards.
Posey matches Saine's receiving TD's at 2, while Stoneburner and Sanzenbacher both have less than him at 1 a piece.
Not that I think Kiper is a genius at picking pro prospects, actually far from it. But this is interesting: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2011/insider/columns/story?columnist...
Brandon Saine #5 Senior RB prospect.
When asked about Saine earlier today, Dick Tressel said Saine wouldn't miss any time. Sorry for the scare, but he definitely was injured in practice.
Heard today that it was a pretty bad turf burn.

"blogging the buckeyes" says he is 100% after suffering some turf toe.

THANK GOD Saine was healthy and was able to go against EMU. What would we have done without him?! This shit is getting old real quick.
