What is the deciding factor that puts us as the 3 seed, our overall record is better than both. Not really mad or raging, just curious because I would've guessed overall record would decide.
I think Matta, Sully, and the team needs to do a little soul-searching, and figure out how this team can play at their best. Who would disagree that OSU actually played better for the stretch when Sully went out of the game with his 3rd foul? Ravenel provided something that has been lacking from this team the last few weeks.
Part of that has to do with MSU not respecting Ravenel's offensive game, while digging down with an extra man or two on Sully when he gets the ball. But the other part is Ravenel was taking what the defense gave him. Lately, Sully has been pressing and looking to go to the basket no matter what.
I think OSU needs to realize they can play at a quicker pace on offense, and it will lead to others getting better quality shots when Sully is in the game. Once the defense is forced to adjust, Sully will get better looks as well. Yesterday's second-half performance was much better because OSU was forced to play at a quicker pace to get back into the game. It would be nice to see that more often...
This team just needs to play defense with its hair on fire like it did yesterday (starting at 10 minutes to go in the first half). They played 8 guys yesterday and they all played hard. That's how they're going to win.
Also, did anyone else see how much better the offense ran without Sully on the court. This, by NO MEANS, is me saying he should be off the court. It just means that they actually run an offense. The pick and roll with RAVENEL for god sakes worked! When Sully is in the game, all they do is let him post up do his thing. MORE MOVEMENT ON THE OFFENSIVE END PLEASE!
I'm calling a Wisconsin vs Ohio State final

Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
From what I understand it has to do with record within league only. Head to head and then against the other teams in the league top to bottom.
Ohio State's winning this thing. Guarantee it.

I hope Sullinger finds himself before tip off, the young man is lost!
