RANKING OSU'S FIRST ROUND RECEIVERS SINCE 2022 AS DRAFT PROSPECTS

With wide receiver Carnell Tate expected to be the latest Ohio State receiver selected in the first round of the NFL Draft, ESPN's Matt Miller compiled a ranking of OSU's six first round receivers since 2022, including Tate, with the criteria being simply their pre-draft stock.

The results shook out like this, with the article providing additional commentary for each of the six first round receivers.

ALABAMA HOOPS COACH NATE OATS SHOULD TALK LESS

Playing a third-straight game without his point guard who was recently arrested on a felony drug charge for allegedly having over two pounds of hippie lettuce in his apartment and text messages indicating intent to distribute, plus a host of big men including 24-year old former Crimson Tide center and G-League center Charles Bediako, Nate Oats took to the mic to lament his fate after Michigan overwhelmed the Tide in the paint during the second half of a 13-point loss.

Of course, Bediako was only briefly eligible this year after Oats and Bama found a friendly judge to grant a temporary restraining order before a smarter judge later shut that mess down.

Anyway, sorry not sorry trying to play a professional player didnt work out for you.

Remember, this is the same guy who made some ill-advised remarks in the wake of then-Alabama basketball player Darius Miles being charged with capital murder after his gun was transported to a campus entertainment district by fellow Tide player Brandon Miller. Shortly after Miller parked his car, an associate of Miles' retrieved the gun and used it to murder to Jamea Harris following an argument with her boyfriend. If Oats' press conference wasn't bad enough, he then Miller continue his pregame introduction routine where a teammate patted him down. Only after being asked about it did Oats state it was "not appropriate" and shut it down.

TRININDAD CHAMBLISS TAKES ANOTHER HUGE STEP TOWARD ELIGIBILITY THIS FALL

The Mississippi State Supreme Court on Friday rejected the NCAA's petition to appeal Trinidad Chambliss' preliminary injunction against it, paving the way for his sixth season of eligibility.

This isn't the official end of the legal process but the upheld injunction allows Chambliss to play until the overall lawsuit ruling is settled and it's widely speculated that the case will not be resolved before the conclusion of the upcoming college football season.

The Ole Miss signal caller, who turns 24 in August, threw for 22 touchdowns against just three interceptions and added eight more scores on the ground while leading the Rebels to a pair of wins in the College Football Playoff before a loss to eventual national champ Miami.

CARNELL TATE'S PRO DAY PERFORMANCE LATEST CASE FOR WHY HE'S THE NO. 1 RECEIVER IN THE NFL DRAFT

Despite a 40-yard dash in the 4.53 range, Carnell Tate's makeup, hands, body control and technical proficiency, among traits, have him fully confident he's the No. 1 receiver option in next month's NFL Draft.
