Not All Heroes Wear Capes; Some Play Bagpipes

If you've been on The Oval at Ohio State during a sunny, warm afternoon, you're likely familiar with the now-iconic soundtrack of Scottish bagpipes.

Josh Whitson has used The Oval as his practice space for years, treating students and passers by to a delightful medley of tunes. We caught up with Whitson this week to talk about how one becomes the oval bagpipe player, his growing popularity on Twitter as well as a rather hilarious rumor he had to dispel.

With spring fast approaching and warm days, you'll surely be seeing more of Whitson and his bagpipes. You can follow him and his bagpiping life on Twitter at @OvalBagpipeGuy.

Special thanks to Tia Williams for the assistance filming and putting it all together.
