Welcome to Columbus, Faheem Delane.

The run of recruiting success for Tim Walton at Ohio State continues, as the Buckeyes had another big recruiting win over the weekend in the form of the second-highest rated safety in the 2025 class. Three of the top four players in Ohio State's class currently reside in the secondary.

While some fans may be clamoring for more positional balance among the incoming prospects, the Buckeye faithful should at least take a moment to remember how far the defense has come from the dawn of the current decade. Johnny and I do just that on this week's episode.

Additionally, the Dubcast discussion also covers:

  • Ohio State plans to sell 750 tickets to the first four August camp practices ahead of the upcoming season. Would you pay $50 to attend?
  • Ryan Day declared his support for not only the upcoming revenue sharing model in wake of the NCAA antitrust settlement, but also for college football to save its walk-ons from going extinct.
  • Ask Us Anything — writers to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com this week inquired about many topics, such as what actors would we cast to play various Ohio State football coaches?
  • Transfer portal success rankings for the football offseason have Ohio State at the top and Michigan near the bottom. Rejoice!
  • Texas is trying to lure recruits with a parking lot of Lamborghinis. How far has the college football public come from crying foul over Terrelle Pryor in a Nissan 350z?

And that does it for the Dubcast this week, watch the show now on YouTube above or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
