I am shamed. We had a perfect opportunity to talk about the greatest sports trophy of them all, a wooden turtle that combines the words "Illinois" and "Buckeyes," and we blew it. No detailed analysis of the type of wood used, no giddy recountings of the various designs that we've enjoyed through the years, no tales of heartbreak from the 2007 game, no pointing out that from 1983 through 1994, Illinois had an 8-4 advantage over Ohio State in this, the most important rivalry game that the Buckeyes play.

But we make up for it, I GUESS, by talking about how awesome the Michigan State game was, and bringing on one of my all time favorite Ohio State players in A.J. Hawk. A.J. has a full plate as a human being, but he was kind enough to offer his insight and expertise in analyzing exactly what's gone wrong and what's gone right for the Buckeyes this season. As one of the most consistently excellent players that I've ever seen as an Ohio State fan, he brings that same excellence to the Dubcast.

Plus, Ask Us Anything! You can do that via e-mail or on Twitter, and we have some pretty great questions this week. Also, please don't forget to rate and subscribe on iTunes!

0:00 Sparty, Sparty, Sparty. So full of promise, so full of hope, and then... nuthin'. Also, we talk a little College Football Playoffs!

21:37 A.J. Hawk talks about where Ohio State has been and where it's going, offers some perspective on J.T. Barrett, and gives us the scoop on his broadcasting career!

41:01 Don't get hurt against Illinois! That's about it. Plus, Ask Us Anything contemplates Anthony Precourt, public enemy number one.

And that'll do it for this week, thanks as always to our sponsor, Safelite AutoGlass, thanks to Travis for our logo, and thanks to you for listening and supporting us through our Dry Goods store. We'll see you next time as we break out the Wagner and other appropriately thunderous portent for MICHIGAN WEEK.
