We're in the lull between football's regular season and the bowl games, and that's when some of the less intense Ohio State basketball fans turn their eyes toward the hoops team. With conference play approaching, we take a realistic look at Thad Matta's young Buckeye team and glean from the tea leaves that it might be a bit of a rough year.
Here to help us make sense of basketball season is cbssports.com hoops writer Matt Norlander, who was honest in his assessment of both the Buckeyes and the Big Ten. And credit to him for his diplomacy when I asked him the really tough question.
Johnny and I didn't leave you football fanatics hanging. We talked a bit about Adolphus Washington's recent troubles and an excellent question from our Ask Us Anything segment led to a discussion about the hiring of Greg Schiano.
