Welcome to the Skull Session.
Eleven Warriors has something legen... wait for it... dary planned for the spring. As of 12:01 a.m., all T-shirts and stickers are 20% off at the Dry Goods Store. I'll share some more about it in the Friday Skull Session.
Have a good Thursday.
BUCKEYE BIG BOARD. The consensus is in: In one week, four Buckeyes will come off the board in the first 10 picks of the 2026 NFL draft.
According to mock drafts from ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., The Athletic’s Dane Brugler and The Ringer’s Todd McShay, former Ohio State stars Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs and Carnell Tate will all be top-10 picks next Thursday in Pittsburgh.
Mel Kiper Jr.
- No. 3 - Arvell Reese to the Arizona Cardinals
- No. 5 - Caleb Downs to the New York Giants
- No. 6 - Sonny Styles to the Dallas Cowboys (via the Cleveland Browns)
- No. 7 - Carnell Tate to the Washington Commanders
Dane Brugler
- No. 2 - Arvell Reese to the New York Jets
- No. 5 - Caleb Downs to the New York Giants
- No. 6 - Sonny Styles to the Dallas Cowboys (via the Cleveland Browns)
- No. 8 - Carnell Tate to the New Orleans Saints
Todd McShay
- No. 3 - Arvell Reese to the New Orleans Saints (via the Arizona Cardinals)
- No. 6 - Sonny Styles to the Dallas Cowboys (via the Cleveland Browns)
- No. 7 - Carnell Tate to the New York Jets (via the Washington Commanders)
- No. 10 - Caleb Downs to the Cincinnati Bengals
While Kiper and Brugler currently project unanimous All-American defensive tackle Kayden McDonald at No. 36 overall to the Raiders, McDonald will be in attendance in Pittsburgh. This suggests a high level of confidence that he’ll break into the first round, potentially giving Ohio State five Day 1 selections.
Brugler’s mock draft included predictions for all 257 picks. In addition to Reese, Downs, Styles, Tate, and McDonald the draft analyst had Max Klare to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 68 (via the New York Jets), Davison Igbinosun to the Green Bay Packers at No. 84, Caden Curry to the Detroit Lions at No. 128 (via the Houston Texans), Will Kacmarek to the Cleveland Browns at No. 146 and Lorenzo Styles Jr. to the Indianapolis Colts at No. 249.
If Brugler’s projections hold, 10 Buckeyes will be drafted in 2026, bringing the two-year total to a staggering 24. Between the elite top-end talent and the sheer volume of draftees, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah recently compared this era of Ohio State football to the early-2000s Miami Hurricanes.
It’s a fair comparison — so long as everyone remembers it was the Buckeyes who Broke the U in 2002.
WAIT… WHAT NOW? Jimmy Sotos has turned pro.
Not in basketball.
But in Netflix's “reality” television.

Sotos is a former Ohio State men’s basketball reserve who appeared in 31 games for the Buckeyes from 2020-22. After graduating, he played in four games for Omonia BC in Nicosia, Cyprus, during the 2022-23 season.
Sotos then launched a successful social media career, amassing 1.4 million followers on TikTok by leaning heavily into thirst traps (don’t look this up — here’s the definition: a sexually appealing photo or video posted to social media). This made him the perfect candidate for Netflix’s next Love Island dupe.
If you’re into that brand of chaotic, villa-based romance, you finally have a familiar face to pull for this season. If you’re not into those kinds of shows, congratulations, you have taste. Continue to use it wisely.
WE THE PEOPLE. On Wednesday, we polled Eleven Warriors readers to identify the No. 1 improvement they want to see at Ohio Stadium.
The top answer? More — and better — bathrooms.
That result doesn’t surprise me. Most of our readers are men over 30, and, well, we all know the deal. However, it might come as a shock to Ohio State. When the Buckeyes announced a fan survey regarding potential upgrades to the Horseshoe, the athletic department seemed primarily focused on premium seating.
| UPGRADE CATEGORY | PERCENTAGE | VOTES |
|---|---|---|
| More/Better Bathrooms | 43% | 944 |
| Modernized Concourse & Amenities | 26% | 581 |
| Better Audio-Visual & Tech Integration | 11% | 236 |
| Better Wi-Fi/Cell Service | 10% | 210 |
| Other | 7% | 150 |
| More Premium Seating | 4% | 81 |
| Total Votes | 2202 |
Yes, premium seating. That's the exact option that finished dead last in our poll.
"This is really just listening," Kevin Griffin told The Columbus Dispatch’s Joey Kaufman earlier this week. "Zero decisions have been made, and no commitment has been made to do any of this. We just want to see what people are interested in."
Let our poll serve as the first lesson, Kevin.
Fans want upgraded restrooms, a modernized concourse with better amenities, reliable Wi-Fi and cell service, and improved audiovisual tech. Once those are handled, then you can worry about the premium seats.
“JIM TRESSEL WAS JUST THOROUGH.” Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor doesn’t appear in the media often, but he did last week on Certified Game, a podcast about culture and sports. During his appearance, Pryor shared the reason he chose to go to Ohio State over Oregon out of high school.
“I was in between with Oregon. Because Oregon was talking some crazy s— like Phil Knight and them had a Nike shoe they were offering my coach at the time,” Pryor recalled. “They were talking to him under wraps saying, ‘Man, we got his shoes, everything designed for him, he can wear Nike for the rest of his life, we’ll give him unlimited (stuff),’ all that s—. I didn’t know this at the time because (my coach) was so thorough. He was like, ‘Man, I’m gonna let this young kid pick for himself.’ With s— like that, I would have been like, ‘S—, I’m going to Oregon.’ But he let me choose.”
Terrelle Pryor does his first ever podcast interview. He told a story about how coming out of high school Oregon was offering shoe deals and crazy incentives to his coaches but he didn't know it. TP praises Tressel for keeping it solid.

Quick note: Shoutout to Pryor’s coach. He’s a real one. Please continue.
“Ohio State was cool because Jim Tressel was just thorough,” Pryor said. “We were selling memorabilia to a drug dealer selling cocaine and whatever. The reason we got caught was the feds ran into the dude’s spot and saw all this memorabilia for me and different cats. They were messaging Jim Tressel, talking about ‘Do you know about this?’ The school got involved in that. Jim Tressel shut his mouth, he said, ‘I don’t know nothing.’
“The reason why I told you that story before is that that’s what I got out of him when I chose that school. He was just thorough. (The late Penn State coach Jim Paterno) came in the crib — I was in the projects at the time — he came in the crib and sat down with Bradley and those guys and kept it real. We had a good talk, but I just didn’t feel that. Tressel was thorough with it.”
I had never heard thorough used like this before, so I looked it up on Urban Dictionary (you can look this one up if you want — here’s the definition: amazing, extremely good or insane).
Yeah, I agree: Jim Tressel is thorough. Pryor was, too!
