Jaloni Cambridge is officially one of the best players in women’s college basketball this season.
The Associated Press named Cambridge as a second-team All-American, making the sophomore point guard the seventh player in Ohio State women’s basketball history to earn AP All-American honors.

Cambridge, who also earned unanimous first-team All-Big Ten honors this season, is averaging 22.8 points per game this season, the seventh-most in the country and tied for the most among all Big Ten players. She’s also averaged 5.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 49% from the field and 34.6% from 3-point range.
She’s led Ohio State to a 26-7 record this season and a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Buckeyes will begin NCAA Tournament play on Saturday (11:30 a.m., ESPN2) against No. 14 seed Howard in a first-round game at the Schottenstein Center.
