A Super Bowl-winning head coach will be the guest speaker at Ohio State’s 2026 coaches clinic.

Per a flyer posted to Ohio State’s website, former NFL head coach Jon Gruden will be a featured speaker at Ohio State’s 2026 coaches clinic alongside Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and the rest of the Buckeyes’ coaching staff.
Gruden, a native of Sandusky, Ohio who played college football at Dayton and Muskingum, was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 1998-2001, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2002-08 and the Raiders again from 2018-21. In his first season with the Buccaneers, Gruden led Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl victory over his former team.
Gruden, who was also the color commentator for ESPN’s Monday Night Football from 2009-18, currently works as a content creator for Barstool Sports.
Ohio State’s 2026 coaches clinic will be held from April 16-18 at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, culminating with Ohio State’s spring game at Ohio Stadium on April 18. Coaches can register for the clinic on Ohio State’s website.
The coaches’ clinic will coincide with the end of Ohio State’s spring practice schedule, which begins March 10.
