Ohio State flips three-star defensive lineman Darryus McKinley from LSU.
Ryan Day and Ohio State's players have given their final round of interviews for the week.
The intel-gathering process is mostly over. The Buckeyes rolled through their final pair of high-contact practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. Above all else, they've kept the routine the same. It's been emphasized repeatedly this week, and Ohio State is going so far as to fly to Michigan, as it has for all its other road games, rather than take a bus as it has traditionally.
Following an interview session in which the Buckeyes talked about their approach to The Game and expressed a lack of concern about the potential for wintry weather, and Ryan Day gave another positive if vague update on Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, we shared our thoughts from Ohio State’s final interviews of the week, discussed the keys to The Game and made our predictions for what we think will happen on Saturday.
We all agreed that a fast start is crucial for Ohio State, both to see if its game plan is working and to lessen the impact of rivalry nerves and a hostile crowd in Ann Arbor. All of us believe the Buckeyes are the more talented team and should prevail, but have varying degrees of confidence.
You can hear our Wednesday night thoughts on our expectations for The Game in the video at the top of the page.
