Ohio State celebrates Senior Day as it wraps up the regular season home slate today by welcoming the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to Ohio Stadium.
Before likely taking Rutgers behind the woodshed for the 11th-straight time, the Buckeyes will first recognize those players expected to be playing their last game in The Shoe.

A group of seniors including Sonny Styles, Caden Curry, Jayden Fielding, Will Kacmarek, Tywone Malone Jr., Davison Igbinosun, Lorenzo Styles Jr. and John Ferlmann will all participate in Senior Day festivities while some others including but not limited to redshirt juniors Carson Hinzman, Tegra Tshabola and Kenyatta Jackson Jr. could also take part, pushing the total players honored to around 17.
Once the celebration concludes and it's time for football, the Buckeyes look to remain undefeated against Greg Schiano's squad which enters the contest with a 5-5 record overall with a 2-5 mark in B1G play earned by way of a truly awful defense and a fairly competent offense.
The Scarlet Knights give up an FBS-worst 7.48 yards per play and 6.6 yards per carry which should mean Ohio State's run game will look solid for a second-straight week.
Through the air, though Ohio State will be short-handed as Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate battle undisclosed injuries, quarterback Julian Sayin should feast against a Rutgers pass defense ranked No. 125 in yards allowed per attempt.
With the Buckeyes primed to bag another win in their final tuneup before heading to Ann Arbor next Saturday, the Eleven Warriors staff offers up its weekly score predictions.
SCORE PREDICTIONS
Andy Anders - Ohio State 48, Rutgers 10: Greg Schiano will have some trick plays to try and score some points, but Rutgers has the worst run defense in the country and Ohio State’s defense is generational, so.
Chase Brown - Ohio State 49, Rutgers 10: With or without Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith, the Buckeyes cruise past the Scarlet Knights. This matchup has been — and will always be — ants vs. boots.
George Eisner — Ohio State 42, Rutgers 10: Hoping we don't see many of the Buckeyes' healthy stars beyond the first half in this one — and the ones nursing injuries probably shouldn't see the field at all. Don't do anything fancy through the
air, keep fine-tuning the ground game and get this one over with so we can finally move on to the games that matter.
Jack Emerson — Ohio State 31, Rutgers 7: Even without Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State will have no problems dispatching Rutgers. Onto Michigan.
Matt Gutridge — Ohio State 42, Rutgers 10: Stay healthy, show little, stay undefeated. Stay healthy, show little, stay undefeated, Stay healthy, show little…
Dan Hope — Ohio State 45, Rutgers 14: Rutgers’ offense is good enough to score a couple of times against the Buckeyes in a week when Ohio State will have extra incentive to get its starters out early ahead of The Game. But the Buckeyes should run all over Rutgers’ porous run defense on their way to a blowout win.
Kyle Jones — Ohio State 49, Rutgers 10: Brandon Inniss shines as the primary receiver while the OSU ground game cuts through the Big Ten’s worst defense.
Chris Lauderback — Ohio State 38, Rutgers 13: I feel like this one has all the makings of a "let's ensure victory the simplest way possible and get the starters out ASAP" scenario which keeps the contest from being more lopsided than if the Buckeyes were 100% healthy and the game wasn't a week before The Game.
Ramzy Nasrallah — Ohio State 42, Rutgers 10: Here's how good the Buckeyes are this year - no one has any idea which players are going to be available, and yet this prediction will still be directionally similar to all of the others and simultaneously covers the spread.
Josh Poloha — Ohio State 38, Rutgers 7: The Buckeyes go on cruise control throughout the game and now it’s onto The Game.
Jason Priestas — Ohio State 43, Rutgers 9: Ohio State parks Smith and Tate but still have no problem with Rutgers in their final tuneup before heading to Ann Arbor.
Jordan Raines — Ohio State 42, Rutgers 6: The Buckeyes and the Scarlet Knights battle it out in a game of two of the slowest playing teams in the country.
WILL OHIO STATE COVER?
Ohio State opened as a 31.5-point favorite before bumping to -33.5 then falling back to the same -31.5 number late Friday night. Big spreads haven't been much of a problem through 10 games - the Buckeyes are 8-1-1 versus the spread so far this season. Howeva...
Eight 11W staffers forecast the Buckeyes to cover the lofty -31.5 number this week while two others forecast a 31-point victory. Only Chris (25) and Jack (24) have the Buckeyes winning by less than 30.
WHAT ABOUT THE OVER/UNDER?
The point total for this game sits at 54.5 which is about seven points higher than last week which feels like a testament to Rutgers' offense since both the Scarlet Knights and UCLA have dreadful defenses. The over hit last week as OSU and UCLA combined for 58 points however the under has hit in six of Ohio State’s 10 games while four of the Scarlet Knights' last five games have favored the under. The over has hit in each of the last five Ohio State-Rutgers matchups.
Eight 11W staffers are rolling with the under in this one while just four - Andy, Chase, Dan and Kyle - are bullish on the over coming through, even as it dropped from 55.5 to the 54.5 number late Friday night.
ELEVEN WARRIORS PROP BETS
In-house prop bets for the offensive side are a bit tricky to throw together this week with the expectation Ryan Day will be looking to manage workloads for his key performers whether they're on the injury report or not. That said, let us know how you see the score shaking out and which players will step up.
