With two weeks remaining in the regular season, every team across college football is still looking up at Ohio State.
The Buckeyes held strong at No. 1 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Polls following their 48-10 drubbing over UCLA in primetime at Ohio Stadium. Indiana and Texas A&M — which survived an upset scare by South Carolina, erasing a 30-3 halftime deficit to hold off the Gamecocks — also maintained their standings at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, in both polls.
With the College Football Playoff chase rolling, several contenders dropped games, including Alabama, which fell to No. 10 in both polls, while Texas’ CFP hopes were placed on life support after a 35-10 loss to Georgia, sending the Longhorns to No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the Coaches Poll.
In the Coaches Poll, Ohio State received all 65 first-place votes, while the Buckeyes, Hoosiers and Aggies were joined by No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Oregon in the top five.
Outside of the Buckeyes, Hooisers and Ducks, the Big Ten was represented in the Coaches Poll by No. 16 USC and No. 17 Michigan.
