Get ready for a train derailment in West Lafayette today.
Ohio State will take on Purdue this afternoon in the Buckeyes' fourth road trip of the 2025-26 season. A win today would even Ohio State's record away from Columbus against the Boilermakers since 2004, as Purdue still owns the upper hand on the Buckeyes with a 4-3 record under those circumstances during that stretch.
Not for long.

Two years ago, Carnell Tate had arguably the best game of his freshman season on Purdue's field. Ohio State's current star receiver recorded a personal season-high 79 receiving yards on a total of three receptions that tied another personal best he achieved the previous week in a win over Penn State.
Fast forward to his upperclassmen era, Tate no longer remains just a kid from Chicago. He's averaging five more yards per reception than teammate Jeremiah Smith during the Buckeyes' national title defense campaign while also sitting only 14 yards and two touchdowns behind his superstar counterpart as of this morning.
The Boilermakers have yet to win a conference game this year, find themselves on a seven-game losing streak and their defense ranks 116th among FBS schools in expected points added per passing play this season. Julian Sayin and company seem primed for another big day.
While Ohio State prepares for an atypical 1 p.m. ET kickoff, take a gander at how the Buckeye football connoisseurs at Eleven Warriors suggest this game unfolds as OSU aims for another commanding victory beyond the great state of Ohio this season.
Score Predictions
Andy Anders — Ohio State 56, Purdue 3. The Buckeyes will score at will against the Boilermakers while keeping their recent success with explosive passing going, and the Ohio State defense improves on its already ridiculous numbers for the season.
Chase Brown — Ohio State 42, Purdue 6. The Buckeyes continue to look every bit like the unanimous No. 1 team in college football, dismantling a Purdue squad that’s trending upward under first-year head coach Barry Odom but still has a long way to go before it can threaten a Big Ten blueblood like Ohio State.
George Eisner — Ohio State 45, Purdue 7. See Dubcast with Ramzy below for details.
Jack Emerson — Ohio State 38, Purdue 6. These are not the Spoilermakers of old, and Ohio State will face little resistance from Purdue on either side of the ball.
Matt Gutridge — Ohio State 42, Purdue 7. With a win on Saturday, the Buckeyes will have a four-game winning streak against the Boilermakers. The last time Ohio State had this much success against Purdue was when the team won seven straight between 1989 and 1999.
Dan Hope — Ohio State 42, Purdue 3. Purdue’s one of the Big Ten’s worst teams on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. The only thing keeping me from picking a bigger blowout is the likelihood that Ohio State will continue to play at a slower pace and call the dogs off in the fourth quarter.
Kyle Jones — Ohio State 42, Purdue 10.
Chris Lauderback — Ohio State 45, Purdue 6. I could play one of the guard spots and Ohio State still wins big. Gimme Julian Sayin to toss another four touchdowns in another masterful performance.
Ramzy Nasrallah — Ohio State 56, Purdue 0. The Boilermakers have the worst defense the Buckeyes will see in 2025 until Rutgers visits in a couple of weeks. They just lost their best player who was the focal point for its offense, and Ohio State has a couple of Heisman candidates it will be actively feeding for the rest of the season. The good news for Purdue is that basketball season is underway.
Josh Poloha — Ohio State 42, Purdue 3. Another win, another cover, because OSU isn't just a good team; the Buckeyes are a great team.
Jason Priestas — Ohio State 41, Purdue 3. The Boilermakers showed signs of life last week, playing Michigan to a one-possession result in Ann Arbor. But this is still a team riding a seven-game L streak and is winless against Power Four competition. Julian Sayin, the Silver Bullets, and America’s best WR duo roll once again.
Jordan Raines — Ohio State 38, Purdue 7. The Buckeyes steamroll the Boilermakers to remain undefeated against the spread this season.
Will Ohio State Cover?
The Buckeyes opened as 28.5-point favorites last weekend, and that line has barely budged with OSU now staring down its largest spread of the season towards close at 29.5 points Ohio State remains one of the best teams at covering in all of college football this year, failing to do so only by half a point against Ohio back in September. Purdue owns a 3-5-1 record against the spread this season, most recently successfully covering as 21-point underdogs in a 21-16 loss to Michigan last week.
The Boilermakers' latest result and the lone ATS loss for the Buckeyes this season has not deterred expectations for this game from the Eleven Warriors staff today. All 12 site employees project Ohio State to cover in West Lafayette this afternoon. Ramzy Nasrallah anticipates the most lopsided result with a 56-point shutout, while Jordan Raines forecasts the shallowest margin at a 31-point victory for the Buckeyes.
What About the Over/Under?
The point total for this contest has held similarly steady to the spread, opening at 49.5 a week ago and moving a single number down to 48.5 points prior to close. The Buckeyes have hit five unders so far this season compared to three overs, while Purdue boasts four straight unders and seven total opposite just two overs through its nine games.
A dead-even split exists among Eleven Warriors employees regarding the outcome of the game's total. Six staff members each have an over or under taking shape this afternoon. Andy Anders foresees the highest sum between the schools at 59 points, while Jack Emerson and Jason Priestas tie for the tiniest tally at merely 44 points.
