As the intensity rose on Day 3 of preseason camp, so did the play of Julian Sayin.

Following a somewhat uneventful second day of preseason camp on Friday, there was a different energy at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Saturday as the Buckeyes put the pads on for the first time in preseason camp. Ohio State practiced for more than two-and-a-half hours in front of a large crowd of fans – the final practice open to fans this year – and its potential to be one of the best teams in the country once again showed through on both sides of the ball.

Julian Sayin was the winner of the day in Ohio State’s quarterback competition, impressing with his accuracy and composure under pressure. He faced plenty of pressure on the day as Ohio State’s defensive end two-deep of Kenyatta Jackson Jr., Caden Curry, Beau Atkinson and C.J. Hicks were the day’s standout position group, especially when they were going up against the backup offensive tackles, with Hicks standing out in particular.

Ohio State’s running backs also continued to impress and Davison Igbinosun continued his strong start to camp as there were reasons for optimism with every position group coming out of Saturday’s practice session.

We break it all down on another episode of Press Coverage, as outlined below:
