What a roller coaster of emotions the NFL Draft proved to be for Ohio State fans.

Emeka Egbuka as the first Buckeye off the board? Donovan Jackson over Josh Simmons? Quinshon Judkins over TreVeyon Henderson? Will Howard to the Steelers? Who could have possibly seen these things coming? (I did, if you listened last week).

But alas, nobody can bat 1.000 on their draft predictions. A strong start in the first round unfortunately did not lend itself to the Buckeyes tying or breaking the record for picks in one class, but at least several ex-OSU players now have new homes.

Johnny and I recap all the movement for the newly crowned professional Buckeyes, assessing the landing spots for all 14 players picked as well as which ones went earlier or later than expected.

Additionally, the Dubcast discussion also covers:

  • The fall of Shedeur Sanders was perhaps the most wild multi-day story of any NFL Draft ever. Was it more enjoyable to witness the karmic retribution upon Colorado’s former QB or Mel Kiper Jr. and the “worldwide leader” that spent the last year-plus running a relentless PR campaign on behalf of the Sanders family?
  • Ask Us Anything — writers to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com this week inquired about many topics, such as what the best build is for enjoying an Elder Scrolls game. Go get the Oblivion remaster if you haven’t already!
  • Quinn Ewers somewhat shockingly fell to the seventh round behind the likes of Graham Mertz and Kurtis Rourke, but perhaps even more notably Kyle McCord and Will Howard. How much of a win was this for Ryan Day’s reputation as a quarterback guru given where The Mullet started and ended his college career?

And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
