Welcome to the Eleven Warriors Spring Game Central.

In our one-stop shop for coverage of Ohio State’s 2024 spring game, we’ve included the recap for the Buckeyes' scrimmage, as well as sights and sounds from around the Horseshoe and other news items that occurred on Saturday.

Ohio State’s spring game started at noon. FOX televised the scrimmage with Jason Benetti, Urban Meyer and Brady Quinn on the call and Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft on the sidelines. At the same time, Paul Keels and Jim Lachey called the game on 97.1 The Fan.

Scoring Format

The 2024 spring game will not feature the traditional structure of a regular season or postseason contest. Instead, Ohio State's offense will wear scarlet and Ohio State's defense will wear white as the two sides of the ball face off with a modified scoring format.

The offense will score as normal – touchdowns, extra points, and field goals. However, the defense can score points in several ways:

  •  Touchdown: 6 points (extra point goes to the defense, as well)
  •  Takeaway: 3 points
  •  Three and out: 3 points
  •  Sack: 2 points
  •  Forced Punt: 1 point
