At the start of the fourth quarter of Ohio State's matchup with Wisconsin, safety Lathan Ransom limped off the field after he sustained a non-contact injury.

After a quick examination in the Ohio State medical tent, Ransom was carted to the locker room for further inspection. With seven minutes left in the final frame, Ransom returned to Ohio State's sideline and is testing his left foot for a potential return to the contest.

One of Ohio State's top defensive players, Ransom had three tackles and one tackle for loss before he left the game. Entering the Wisconsin game, the Tuscon, Arizona, native had accounted for 31 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one interception and two pass breakups.

With Ransom absent, Ohio State will lean on Josh Proctor, Sonny Styles and Jordan Hancock at the position. The Buckeyes can also turn to Cameron Martinez, Malik Hartford and Kye Stokes as potential depth options.
