The start of spring football practice is less than a week away.

Ohio State announced Thursday that it will officially begin spring football practice at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Tuesday’s practice will be the first of 15 practices this spring. Ohio State will practice twice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center next week before spring break. The Buckeyes will reconvene for their third practice of the spring on Tuesday, March 22 and will practice three times for each of the next three weeks after spring break. Ohio State will hold four practices during the final week of spring football, culminating with the spring game in Ohio Stadium on Saturday, April 16 at noon.

Ohio State’s eighth practice of the spring on Saturday, April 2 will be a student appreciation day; further details on that event have not yet been announced.

In addition to the 15 spring practices, Ohio State also confirmed Thursday that its pro day for its NFL draft prospects will be held on Wednesday, March 23.

The beginning of Tuesday’s opening practice of the spring will be open to the media, and Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles will all meet with the media after the practice. Eleven Warriors will be on site for every practice media availability throughout the spring, so stay tuned for more coverage of spring football on Tuesday and throughout the next five weeks.
