Another Defensive Rookie of the Year Award for Chase Young, another Defensive Rookie of the Year Award for a Buckeye.

After already winning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award from the Pro Football Writers of America last month, Chase Young picks up another first-year honor as he was named the AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year on Saturday night.

Young becomes the fourth Buckeye in five years to win both major defensive rookie of the year awards, following Joey Bosa in 2016, Marshon Lattimore in 2017 and Nick Bosa in 2019.

After he was selected No. 2 overall by the Washington Football Team, Young quickly emerged as a star, starting 15 regular season games and a playoff game for Washington. He finished the season with 47 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and four pass breakups.

This award adds to a collection of accolades from Young's rookie season. In addition to both NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year awards, Young was named to this year's Pro Bowl and was named to the PFWA's All-NFC team for 2020, making him the only rookie to be selected to an all-conference squad this year
