Double up

Sermon is doubling up his number from Oklahoma, where he wore No. 4, which Ohio State had already assigned to freshman wide receiver Julian Fleming.

The starting job is widely expected to be decided between Sermon and Teague, with sophomore Marcus Crowley, redshirt freshman Steele Chambers and incoming freshman Miyan Williams – who spent the offseason getting into the best shape of his life –filling out the unit room (and senior H-back Demario McCall also available to play running back if needed).

Gone is J.K. Dobbins, who rushed for 2,003 yards in 2019 to go with 247 receiving yards. The Baltimore Ravens now have his production, and Ohio State will lean on Sermon and Teague's experience to make up the difference in 2020.
