Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and defensive end Tyquan Lewis are among the 10 players selected as this year's Big Ten football preseason honorees, which were announced by the conference Monday.

Both players are seniors. Barrett was named as the Big Ten's quarterback of the year in 2016, while Lewis was named as the conference's defensive lineman of the year.

Barrett is named to the conference's preseason honoree list for the second year in a row. Ohio State has had two players selected to the list for three straight years; Barrett and Raekwon McMillan received the honor in 2016, while Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott were honored in 2015.

The other preseason honorees from the Big Ten's East Division are Indiana senior linebacker Tegray Scales, Penn State junior running back Saquon Barkley and Penn State junior quarterback Trace McSorley. This year's preseason honorees from the West Division are Iowa senior linebacker Josey Jewell, Northwestern senior safety Godwin Igwebuike, Northwestern senior running back Justin Jackson, Wisconsin senior linebacker Jack Cichy and Wisconsin senior tight end Troy Fumagalli.
