Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline is expected to become the next head coach at USF.
The Mater Dei Curse has struck again.
Four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, who had been committed to Ohio State since May, flipped his commitment to USC on Wednesday.

The news came minutes after it was revealed that Ohio State wide receivers coach Brian Hartline would be the next head coach at South Florida. There's likely a link between that hire and Dixon-Wyatt's departure.
Ranked as the No. 21 wide receiver and the No. 135 overall prospect in the 2026 class, Dixon-Wyatt was the second-highest-ranked wide receiver in Ohio State’s 2026 class behind only his Mater Dei High School teammate, Chris Henry Jr., who has also been the subject of flip rumors as Oregon attempts to pry the top-ranked wide receiver away from Ohio State.
While Dixon-Wyatt was expected to join Henry in Columbus, the Southern California native will now join three of his other Mater Dei teammates – five-star tight end Mark Bowman, four-star offensive lineman Tomuhini Topui and four-star defensive end Shaun Scott – in USC’s 2026 recruiting class.
Dixon-Wyatt’s decommitment leaves the Buckeyes with four wide receivers in their 2026 class: Henry, Jerquaden Guilford, Jaeden Ricketts and Brock Boyd.
