Happy Tuesday. We're running the Hurry-Up a tad later than normal due to our coverage of Ohio State's team hotel check-in on Monday evening. Now, back to your originally scheduled programming.
A cornerback who delivered one of the best performances of a defensive back at an Ohio State recruiting camp came to Columbus on a mission.
Four-star Oregon prospect Josiah Molden wanted to earn an offer from Ohio State. Following an impressive workout where he thrived in individual drills and one-on-one competition, Molden landed the offer he so desperately coveted.
“It would mean a lot. It’s a top (school) at the top of my list right now,” Molden said a few moments before he picked up an offer at the camp. “It would mean a lot if I were offered. Ohio State lived up to expectations.”
Molden camped at OSU on June 12 and it was the 6-foot, 175-pound prospect’s first-ever visit to Ohio. He took instruction from both co-defensive coordinator Tim Walton and safeties coach Matt Guerrieri.

“It was amazing,” Molden said. “They coached me hard, which is one of the big things I want in a school. They were honest and they got me right. I love both of them …
“I don’t strictly want to say I’m just a corner, I can play every position. Nickel, safety, I can do it all. My best attribute as a DB is probably being patient with my feet, I feel like I’m really good at staying square with my feet and not shooting too quickly, because it’s feet first, then hands.”
Other schools Molden says have stood out throughout his recruiting process include Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, Arizona and Arizona State.
Football runs in Molden’s family, as his father, Alex, is an Oregon legacy and a former first-round pick in the 1996 NFL draft. His brother, Elijah, played his college ball at Washington and has played safety for the Tennessee Titans since 2021.
Molden insists his West Coast roots won’t prevent him from considering schools out east, including Ohio State. The Buckeyes hope to host him on a gameday visit this season.
Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Molden is considered the No. 142 prospect and No. 16 cornerback in the 2027 class.
Chris Henry Jr. and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt give back to the community
In one of last week’s Hurry-Ups, we mentioned two Ohio State commits planned on giving back to the community.
On Saturday, wideouts Chris Henry Jr. and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt hosted a back-to-school drive at an Adidas outlet store in California. Backpacks stuffed with supplies were given away at the event as Henry Jr. and Dixon-Wyatt signed autographs for children.
Giving back to the community Big shout out to @adidasFballUS for help making it happen. This is bigger than football- it's about impact. #BackToSchooldrive #backpackdrive pic.twitter.com/96VnZFAxfL

Henry Jr. was thankful to be invited to the event and thanked Adidas in a social media post a day later.
Henry Jr. and Dixon-Wyatt are set to open their prep season with Mater Dei against St. Thomas Aquinas on Aug. 23.
Deuce Geralds commits to LSU
Ohio State’s top remaining defensive tackle target for the 2026 class has made his decision. As expected, it was not OSU.
Four-star Georgia standout Deuce Geralds committed to LSU on Saturday, picking the Tigers over Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State and Ole Miss.

The Buckeyes had momentum with Geralds early this summer, but priorities quickly shifted and OSU is content with its defensive tackle commit trio of Damari Simeon, Jamir Perez and Cameron Brickle for the current cycle. The Buckeyes are still in the market for another defensive end to pair with Khary Wilder.
