Ohio State already has the nation’s top wide receiver committed for 2027 in Jamier Brown, but Brian Hartline is also taking a swing at landing another five-star talent in the Midwest.
Hartline offered Indiana standout Monshun Sales on Wednesday, as the 6-foot-5, 195-pound prospect checks in as the No. 14 prospect nationally and the No. 2 wideout in the 2027 cycle. He’s also the top-rated player in the state of Indiana.

Last season, Sales caught 34 passes for 568 yards and seven touchdowns.
Ohio State offered two other prospects of note in 2027 over the past few days, and we’ll recap each new offer below. There’s also been some 2026 quarterback news of interest that we’ll also get to.
Isaiah Phelps
James Laurinaitis offered four-star Isaiah Phelps on Wednesday, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound linebacker from California in the 2027 recruiting class.

Phelps is ranked the No. 254 prospect and No. 16 linebacker in the 2027 class. He’s earned 23 Division I offers, including Arizona State, Auburn, Cal, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Phelps had a monster sophomore season, recording 174 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, two quarterback hurries, two interceptions and five pass deflections.
Isaiah Leilua
His name is Isaiah, he’s from California and he plays linebacker, but yes, he’s a different prospect entirely from Phelps and Laurinaitis offered the 6-foot, 200-pound prospect this week.

Leilua is a three-star player who’s ranked No. 336 nationally and rated the No. 23 linebacker in 2027. He’s earned 16 Division I offers, including Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Colorado, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, USC, Washington and Wisconsin.
In 2024, Leilua racked up 67 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass deflections and a forced fumble.
2026 QB Luke Fahey drawing interest from OSU
A new name has emerged to watch in Ohio State’s search for a 2026 quarterback. Per On3, quarterbacks coach Billy Fessler has been recruiting California four-star quarterback Luke Fahey hard of late. While there hasn’t been an official offer given out as of yet, that could change if Fahey visits, which will likely happen sometime this summer.
Other schools pursuing Fahey hard include Indiana, Stanford and Oklahoma State, per the report.
Last season, Fahey completed 76 percent of his passes for 1,638 yards and 17 touchdowns with no interceptions. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,184 yards, 26 touchdowns and six interceptions. He’s performed well in the seven-on-seven circuit as well in each of the past two springs.
Fahey has made his interest in Ohio State no secret.
“It’s a dream school for me and my parents,” Fahey told On3.
Ohio State’s current 2026 quarterback situation is a little murky, considering the current quarterback room features high-profile players with multiple years of eligibility remaining and the Buckeyes already have a five-star quarterback committed in the 2027 class in Brady Edmunds. But Ryan Day has always maintained competition won’t bother the right prospect when it comes to recruiting quarterbacks at Ohio State, and perhaps Fahey could be a primary option for this cycle, depending on how things develop.
