The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.

BISHOP GORMAN BUCKEYES

Four-star wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey transferred earlier this year from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Centennial High in Poway, California. Now Lindsey, just days away from announcing his college decision, looks to be on the move before ever playing a game for the Huskies.

Centennial head coach Matt Logan told the Riverside, California, Press Enterprise on Wednesday that Lindsey will return to Bishop Gorman, where he played the last two seasons with current Ohio State commits Tate Martell and Haskell Garrett.

“That's what I expect will happen,” Logan said. “That's where his eligibility lies right now.”

Under California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section rules, Lindsey was going to have to sit out the first five games of his senior season.

The 5-foot-9, 180-pounder was under legal guardianship of Martell's family for the past three years, as the pair transferred to Bishop Gorman after playing their freshman year together at Poway High.

They combined for more than 2,000 yards and 33 touchdowns in leading the Gaels to two-consecutive mythical high school national championships. Now, they'll look to win a third-straight before possibly playing their college ball together.

Lindsey will announce his collegiate future on Aug. 22, and will choose between Alabama, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC.

“We knew [the sit-out period] was a possibility and we were preparing for that to happen,” Logan said. “He's a great player and [we] would have loved to have him, but we have plenty of guys who are prepared to step in and play.”

The reason the fifth-best receiver prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite, originally moved back to California was to be with his immediate family. His return to Las Vegas makes Bishop Gorman's Sept. 30 meeting with St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) even more fun to watch, considering there may be four Ohio State commits on the field that evening.

ON THE GRIND IN GEORGIA

In the days following his July 29 commitment, we mentioned how five-star dual-threat quarterback Emory Jones would play a role in Ohio State's recruitment of a pair of fellow Georgia prospects, five-star offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer and four-star defensive back Tre' Douglas. Both picked up an offer from Ohio State earlier that month, and Jones has already began publicly recruiting his Peach State peers.

To which Jones then responded:

The 6-foot-4, 327-pound Salyer — from the appropriately name Pace Academy — is the top offensive lineman and No. 11 overall player in the Class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite. He currently holds 17 offers from schools like Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Tennessee, though the Bulldogs are considered by Crystal Ball prognostications to be the favorite at this time.

THE ALL-AMERICAN DREAM

On Wednesday, USATODAY Sports revealed the defensive portion of the 2016 American Family Insurance All-USA Preseason Football Team. The list, selected by USATODAY Sports reporter Jim Halley, included two Ohio State commits and several potential Buckeyes.

Pledges Isaiah Pryor, safety from IMG Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Shaun Wade, corner from Trinity Christian in Jacksonville, Florida, were joined by Kennedale, Texas, linebacker Baron Browning; Plano, Texas, linebacker Anthony Hines; Calabasas, California, corner Darnay Holmes; Riceboro, Georgia, safety Richard LeCounte; and Plano, Texas, safety Jeffrey Okudah.

The offensive side of the ball included three commits: Bellflower, California, offensive guard Wyatt Davis; Miamisburg offensive tackle Josh Meyers; and Buffalo, New York, kicker Blake Haubeil.

THEN BY SERVICE CALLED AWAY

Canton Central Catholic linebacker Griffin Baumoel committed to Navy last month over offers from Air Force, Army, Ball State, Eastern Michigan and Kent State, telling the Canton Repository he has a higher purpose than simply playing college football.

“I've had a pretty good high school career and I don't feel like I'm going to be missing out on a lot of stuff,” Baumoel said. “The whole party scene is fun for a while, but I'd rather have a great 40 years than a great four years.”

And though he seemed set on his future, Ohio State extended a walk-on offer to the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder on Tuesday.

“Honestly, I was pretty blindsided,” Baumoel told Eleven Warriors. “I've never had any contact with [Ohio State] and yesterday, when I got out of practice, I checked my phone and coach Eron Hodges told me to call him.

“It was awesome,” he continued. “It's one of those calls you dream of getting your entire life, even if it is just a walk-on opportunity. It's very exciting and something I will absolutely consider.”

This marks fifth in-state prospect in one week announce such an offer, as Baumoel joins Columbus DeSales running back Alonzo Booth, Westerville South linebacker Christian Nkansah-Wiafe, Hudson linebacker Alex Beck and Solon cornerback Darryl Sinclair II. As previously mentioned, each would be guaranteed a spot on the 105-man roster if they were to accept the offer.
