On paper, it's the best recruiting class Chris Holtmann has had at Ohio State.

After Bruce Thornton, Felix Okpara, Roddy Gayle, Brice Sensabaugh and Bowen Hardman all signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, the Buckeye head coach opened up about the bright future ahead for the program's 2022 class on Thursday.

"Obviously it's as talented of a class as we've had, and I think it can be a real building block here moving forward," Holtmann said on a Zoom call with members of the media. "I think we can continue to have classes like this. Maybe not always in numbers, because you're not always gonna bring in five freshmen, but there's no question we can continue to have classes of this caliber."

With a high number of expected departures from the roster following the 2021-22 season, next year's freshman class will be a crucial one for the Buckeyes, and Holtmann says he anticipates multiple first-year players stepping into impact roles on the court right away. To hear everything Holtmann had to say about the impressive 2022 recruiting, check out the video above.
