In the first half of Saturday afternoon’s matchup against Minnesota, redshirt junior Keita Bates-Diop scored his 1000th career point, becoming the 55th player to do so in Ohio State history.

The forward from Normal, Illinois — who missed all but nine games of last season with a leg injury — also became the 28th member of the 1000 point, 500 rebound club at Ohio State.

Bates-Dop collected his 500th carom in the win Wednesday night at Northwestern.

The last Buckeye to join the century mark in scoring was teammate Jae’Sean Tate, which came in February of 2017.

At the half, Ohio State led the Golden Gophers by a score of 38-31.
