Ohio State is considered an eight-point underdog for Sunday's men's basketball game against No. 1-ranked Michigan State at Value City Arena, according to Vegas Insider.

Per Vegas Insider, Michigan State opened as a nine-point favorite on Saturday afternoon, but thanks to bets in favor of the Buckeyes, the line quickly moved down to eight in favor of the Spartans.

It's no surprise that Ohio State is an underdog for Saturday's game, considering that Michigan State is the top-ranked team in college basketball and 15-1 on the season. What might come as a surprise is that Michigan State is only a single-digit favorite, considering how dominant the Spartans have been and that the Buckeyes were a Big Ten bottom-feeder just last season.

Ohio State's solid 12-4 start in Chris Holtmann's first season, however, appears to be giving bettors some confidence that the Buckeyes can at least keep Sunday's game close.

Sunday's tip-off at Value City Arena is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on CBS.
