Ohio State basketball player Kaleb Wesson became one of the newest members of his high school's Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Westerville South on Friday night.

As you can see in the video above, courtesy of ThisWeek News' Frank DiRenna, Wesson was honored prior to Westerville South's basketball game against its crosstown rival, Westerville North.

According to Westerville South's Twitter account, the rest of the Ohio State basketball team was on hand to watch Wesson's ceremony and the Wildcats' game against the Warriors.

Wesson, the Buckeyes' starting center in his first year at Ohio State, has averaged 11.7 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game in his first 15 games at the collegiate level.

Before becoming a Buckeye, Wesson had an accomplished career at Westerville South, earning Mr. Basketball honors for the state of Ohio in his senior season last year. In his junior season at Westerville South in 2016, Wesson and his older brother Andre, who also now plays for the Buckeyes, led the Wildcats to a state championship.
