North Carolina and Gonzaga will play Monday night for the national championship.

Ten short years ago, Ohio State had the same opportunity.

The Buckeyes met Florida on April 2, 2007, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. It was Thad Matta's third season at the helm in Columbus and Ohio State matched up with an insanely-talented Florida side led by head coach Billy Donovan.

The Gators won the game, 85-74, for their second national title in a row. Florida knocked off UCLA the year prior for its first national championship in school history.

While Greg Oden, Mike Conley and Co. fell one game short of Ohio State's first national championship since 1960, the season sparked the beginning of an incredible run under Matta.

Ten years later, the program released a highlight video commemorating that team and tournament run. Check it out above.
