A pair of 9-8 final scores have decided the Big Ten regular season men's lacrosse champion, as Ohio State claims the title following a last-second win over Michigan on Friday night in tandem with a loss for Maryland today at the hands of Johns Hopkins.

The result for the Buckeyes arrived in thrilling fashion, as OSU scored a game-winning goal against its arch rival with merely 3.4 seconds remaining to secure Golden Buckeyes for the squad — the lax bro cousin of the football team's Golden Pants tradition.

This is the second year in a row that Ohio State has taken down Michigan in dramatic fashion to end the regular season and claim a conference title in men's lacrosse. Last year, the Buckeyes overcame an 8-5 deficit against the Wolverines with roughly 12 minutes remaining in the contest by ripping off five unanswered goals to storm back and win by a 10-8 final score. Ohio State went on to win the Big Ten Tournament as well before losing to Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Buckeyes finish the regular season with a 10-3 overall record, two games better than the rest of the conference. The Buckeyes will await the start of the Big Ten Tournament before striving for what will ideally be a redemptive performance on this year's national stage.
