The Buckeyes took home some hardware this weekend as the Ohio State men's golf team won its first ever Big Ten match play championship.

The Buckeyes downed Rutgers, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Maryland in rout to the title. The run included a win over the top-seeded Illini as well as a dominating win over the Terrapins to secure the victory.

“We really had high hopes and high expectations coming into this weekend because we felt like all of our guys were playing well,” head coach Jay Moseley said in a release. “It was just a matter of going out and executing our game plan and hitting the shots. The guys played really well all weekend and I couldn’t be more proud of them.”

Ohio State heads back south next weekend for the Puerto Rico Classic, hosted by Purdue in Rio Mar.
