Perfect timing for a new thread with the draft.
My basic evaluation going into it:
- RB: Chase Brown is good, hopefully tahj Brooks can develop into a solid RB2 this year, likely won’t be taking one here with less picks
- WR: Interesting sneaky need here. Gesecki is kind of your starting slot with iosevas as your #3. Again probably not a target with fewer picks out could be interesting if a guy falls
- OL: Starters are set and should be good next year. Future need at C/RG needs addressed
- TE: Definite need if Erick All is donezo.
- EDGE: Murphy/Stewart have big enough investments they may not touch it. Maxed out cap space and less picks means you are reliant on these two bums
- DT: Pretty quickly a great rotation with Lawrence on top. No need here
- LB: arguably the worst position group of any position group in the NFL. Couple of bums starting with no depth. 2nd rounder could be here
- CB: another big need, better off at starters than LB but depth is non existent.
- S: Cook needs to be good and Battle is expected to grow into a solid starter
Overall likely targets: LB(big need) CB(big need) IOL, WR, TE
