Troy Aikman is moving to ESPN (and Buck is going with him) to take over Monday Night Football, and it's now being reported that he will make $18 million per year for the gig. Apparently Romo now makes around the same. As the musical chairs was happening, there were rumors of Herbie getting tapped to call more NFL games.

The dollar figures seem insane - Aikman is making more to call games than he ever made to play them - but I get that they are the face of the franchise in some ways. Mostly, I just don't think Aikman has above-replacement value - think he's just an average dude.

So, thinking pro color commentators, what's your ranking of guys you like to hear calling a game? I would go Romo, Collinsworth (I like the guy, I know others don't), Darryl Johnston, then - maybe - Aikman.
