Ohio State made a statement on Sunday, taking down No. 1 Texas 14-7.

The Shoe was loud and chaotic all afternoon, with OSU fans making life difficult for Arch Manning and the Longhorns. Noon game or not, this was the kind of atmosphere you wanted for a big recruiting weekend which featured more than 100 recruits in attendance. As 2027 tight end Colt Lumpris told Eleven Warriors Sunday, he thought The Shoe was one of the loudest stadiums he's ever been in and he thoroughly enjoyed his visit to Ohio Stadium. He certainly wasn't the only one.

Ohio State showcased a dominant defense and a willingness to adapt offensively, providing something enticing for every position group that visited over the weekend. Although the coaching staff had limited time to spend with prospective players, they made the most of their visits and left a lasting impression on many players that could pay dividends down the stretch.

On Friday, we highlighted the loaded list of recruits who were making the trip to Columbus for Saturday’s game. Some of those recruits took to social media after the game to share their experiences and we've compiled some of the reactions below.

Michigan offers Myson Johnson-Cook on OSU visit

Leave it to Michigan to try and steal Ohio State's thunder on a big day for the Buckeyes, right? It started with FOX rolling out Dave Portnoy on Big Noon Kickoff, but rolled over into the recruiting sphere as well.

The Wolverines offered 2027 five-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook while he was in the middle of his Ohio State visit on Saturday, which garnered some attention on the interwebs.

It's a common experience for a recruit to be grateful for any Division I offer they receive, even if the timing on that particular offer was interesting. Nonetheless, Johnson-Cook got to see a pretty good game from the Buckeyes, so his trip certainly ended on a high note.

A quick personal note

Unfortunately, this is going to be the last Hurry-Up — or any article, period — I produce for Eleven Warriors. The brass tacks is I've accepted another opportunity covering Ohio State, but I'm going to wait to announce specifics until later in the week out of respect to 11W.

I can't say enough wonderful things about my four-plus years here. I'm so thankful I was able to work alongside a talented, hard-working crew throughout my tenure and that I was given a chance to cover a program like Ohio State. I have to give a hat tip to Dan Hope for saving my ass on a few would-be dumb mistakes while editing over the years and providing helpful suggestions, and also thank Chase Brown and Andy Anders for being key parts of the operation that make the site run.

It's going to be weird not working alongside those guys anymore, but they're all good at what they do and deserve your continued support, as they certainly will have mine.

There's been a lot of fun memories from various experiences I've had the fortune of covering the past four years, including: Ohio State's national championship run last year, Ryan Day buckling at the podium when he realized Jeremiah Smith was coming to OSU, Aaron Scott Jr. using a smoke machine for his commitment then faking out Michigan with a jersey swap, building relationships with recruits, getting really lucky and snapping a picture of Marvin Harrison Jr. that went viral, traveling to every OSU home and away game and so much more.

The final thank you I have to give to this otherwise pointless and self-serving section is to you, the reader. To anyone who has consumed anything I've written the past four years, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, I wouldn't be able to do what I do without you guys. I'll miss being part of this community, and I'll definitely miss writing the Hodgepodge article, which was my favorite piece of content I ever produced for the site.

But as I said at the beginning, it's not goodbye, it's just a see you later. Thanks for everything, guys.
