Murphy has been with Ohio State since 2022 and played a significant role in the program’s recruiting operation.
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes will now need to replace Murphy ahead of a pivotal stretch in the recruiting calendar, with official visits scheduled throughout May and June as well as a full slate of camps in June. According to Lettermen Row, the position is expected to be filled, though no potential candidates have emerged.
Murphy joined Ohio State from Charlotte, where he previously served as the 49ers’ director of player personnel.
