With the commitment of Fleming and us being in the dearth of offseason discussion points, I started thinking which has a bigger impact on recruiting and the offense: a top rated WR or a top rated RB?

Or another way to ask the question is, would you rather have a #1 by position and top 10 overall WR or RB?

My first reaction was RB because tOSU offenses have historically been dependent on the run game, but I feel like today’s game is changing, even here, and shifting towards down-field attacking offenses and Pro-style QBs. So by 2019 standards, I feel like a top WR has the potential to make more impact than a top RB does, by a slim margin. Obviously both are impactful and fantastic when we get one.

Also, you could make the argument that a top WR would attract a top QB (or vice versa) more than a top RB would, but that is probably subjective.
