Volume 11 brings seven new players to the Big Ten.
B1G Gains
November was a quiet month as only seven players committed to five Big Ten schools. Purdue brought in the biggest haul with three verbals. The other programs adding to their class were: Iowa (1), Michigan (1), Minnesota (1) and Rutgers (1).
Surprisingly, Chris Ash and the Scarlet Knights landed the highest-rated player this cycle. Artur Sitkowski, a 4★ Pro-style quarterback who originally committed to Miami, FL, pledged allegiance to Rutgers. The flip to New Jersey's public university was a stunner, but Ash and company won't lose sleep over the decision. Since Sitkowski switched to the Scarlet Knights on the first of November, his rating went down six points from .949 to .943.
B1G Losses For Purdue
The conference lost five players between November 1st and November 30th. Jeff Brohm's class was the one to take the most hits as four players decided to rescind their commitments. Not only did Purdue bring in the most players in November, but they also lost the most players.
PJ Fleck and Minnesota lost the verbal of dual-threat quarterback Brennan Armstrong.
King Of The Mountain
Meyer and the Buckeyes' 2018 recruiting class remains on top of the Big Ten and the nation. This amazing class increased its sizable lead on second Place Penn State. Last month Ohio State had a 30.17 lead in composite points. This month? The Buckeyes' lead has increased to 31.79 points (+1.62).
What makes this more impressive is that Ohio State has four fewer commits than Franklin and the team from Pennsylvania.
On the national front, Texas remains the team behind the Buckeyes. The Longhorns and Ohio State both have 18 commits, but Meyer's lead has increased from 16.78 points to 21.95 over Herman. The Buckeyes have a .953 player rating average compared to Texas' .931 average.
Where is Alabama? The Crimson Tide hit a bump this month. Nick Saban's class fell seven spots from 16th to 23rd after losing 3★ OG Jarrett Bell from California. Alabama currently has 12 players in its 2018 class.
The loss of Bell is a little addition by subtraction as the Tide's average commit average increased from .914 to .922. However, that is that is 31 points below the Buckeyes' average.

The 2018 Composite Team Rankings as of 12/1/2017 according to 247
For the sixth straight update, Ohio State remains the top team in the Big Ten. The Bucks are comfortably in the lead and again were able to widen the gap on Penn State. The races to watch are between Penn State, Michigan, Maryland and Michigan State for second through fifth position.
Three Up, Three Down
For the fourth straight cycle, the top four spots stayed steady, while positions 8 through 13 saw chaos. Rutgers was the biggest winner this month moving up three spots to 10th.
The other teams moving up the chart were Northwestern and Iowa. The Wildcats jumped Indiana for eighth place and the Hawkeyes supplanted Rutgers for 11th.
Nebraska was this month's biggest losers. Mike Riley lost his job and the Cornhuskers fell three spots to 13th. Indiana and Purdue were the other two schools to lose ground.
Conference Average Line
The conference average line should sit just after the seventh place team. However, the average crept up a spot behind fifth to fourth place. This indicates a big gap between the four top schools and the rest of the conference.
Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Maryland remain the only teams above 200 points. Michigan State and Minnesota are just below the conference average, but the rest have work to do. It's time for Wisconsin to step up.
If the Cornhuskers get "Frosty", they could make a late push through the middle of the conference rankings.

Micah Parsons will make his decision in 19 days. Will he choose the Buckeyes, Nittanly Lions or Sooners? If you believe crystal balls he will play for Penn State.
B1G Stars Breakdown
Ohio State and Penn State remain the only teams in the conference to have 5★ commits. However, the Buckeyes are now up to five and the Nittany Lions remain with one.
The newly minted 5★ Ohio State recruit is Emory Jones as his composite rating went up five points to .984. His ranking has fluctuated between four and five stars over the years.
Jones joins Taron Vincent, Brenton Cox Jeremy Ruckert and Jaelen Gill as the Buckeyes 5★ players. Justin Shorter is Penn State's lone five star player.
Movers And Shakers
What a difference a month makes. In the last update, only four teams moved on the board. This month, eight of the conference's 14 teams find themselves in a new spot on the Stars Chart this month.
Minnesota is back on top as the Gophers added two new commits and now stand at 24 players.
Indiana made the biggest positive move as the Hoosiers added the most players, four, and went from tenth to sixth. Wisconsin (+2) and Michigan (+1) were the other teams to make positive moves.
Star Gazing
Two Buckeyes had their star ratings increase. Emory Jones bumped up from four stars to five and Master Teague III finally left his 3★ rating behind and is now rated as a 4★.
There were three other players around the conference that went up from 3 stars to four. They were Michigan's TE Luke Schoonmaker and Penn State's ILB Nick Tarburton and OT Antwan Reed.
Illinois' RB Jakari Norwood and Nebraska's Barret Pickering (K) were the two players that bumped up from 2 stars to three stars.
There were six players that lost a star and went from 4★ down to 3★. Those players were:
- RB Ronnie Walker (IN)
- DT Austin Fontaine, (MD)
- ATH Xavier Henderson (MSU)
- OT James Ohonba (MSU)
- CB Jordan Miner (PSU)
- DT Aenas Hawkins (PSU)
95.5 percent of the Big Ten's commits are 4★ and 3★ players. To put Ohio State's recruiting in perspective, just over 27 percent of the conference's 4 star commits and 83.3 percent of the 5 star players are Buckeyes.

Although Micah Parsons likely will not choose Ohio State, that didn't stop him from retweeting and making a comment on the play of Dwayne Haskins in The Game:

— BLESSEDMVP (@Micah_parsons23) November 28, 2017
At the end of November, ten Ohio State commits are the highest rated players at their position in the conference. If you look at the players Urban Meyer has offered, the Buckeyes could have the best player at every position except for pro-style quarterback.
Speaking of pro-style quarterbacks, Rutgers' Art Sitkowski is now the highest rated after taking the top spot from Michigan State's Theo Day (.893)
The Big Ten East lost a position and now owns 15 of the 18 positions. Minnesota and Nebraska are the only teams in the Big Ten West with a player on the board. The Cornhuskers added center Will Forniak to the list as he replaced Michigan State's Jacob Isaia.
Ohio State's outside linebacker Dallas Gant (.934) was passed up by Michigan's Otis Reese as the conference's top OLB.

For the first time in five months, the back and forth between Nebraska and Michigan ends. The Cornhuskers were able to hold onto the third spot and end the yo-yo with the Wolverines.
Wisconsin increased two positions going from 8th to 6th. Iowa and Rutgers were the only other teams move up as they each climbed on spot.
Michigan State was the biggest loser as the Spartans fell from sixth to eighth. Illinois was the other team to drop as Lovie Smith's class fell from 12th to 13th.
Incredibly, all 14 teams had their average player rating improve. Minnesota had the biggest increase by going up eight points. Maryland and Wisconsin went up an impressive seven points each.
Meyer and the Buckeyes continue to have a massive lead over the rest of the conference. With more 5★ and 4★ players on the horizon, the 2018 Ohio State recruiting class could be one for the ages.

In five days (12/6), Jarren Williams, a dual-threat quarterback from Central Gwinnet HS in Lawrencville, GA will select the school he will attend. It is widely believed he will pick Miami, FL, but Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes offered Williams on November, 2.
Very honored and blessed to receive an offer from the University of Ohio State pic.twitter.com/v6NNe8Ti1g
