How would you have stopped Miami's pass rush with their two future NFL DE's? Who would you have recruited? Texas A&M wasn't able to stop them and they have a better O line than ours. Sometimes you run into players that are better and more motivated than yours, it's no fault of recruiting, sometimes there is no one available to match a certain level of talent. Do other teams fans blame their CBs and recruiting for not being able to stop Jeremiah Smith. It's easier said than done. I think people aren't giving enough credit to Miami.
Personally I think we could use better coaching, schemes, and play calling to have gotten it done. Remember Miami lost to SMU and Louisville, we should have a sufficient O line on roster to have defeated them. I haven't seen anyone present any proof that our O Line is any worse than Indiana's O Line and look where they are. For example Mendoza was sacked 17 times in Big 10 competition, 5 sacks to Wisconsin. Sayin was sacked 10 times in Big 10 competition, 1 sack to Wisconsin. Mostly what I've heard is we need maulers, vicious people, and complain that we suck which isn't exactly a strategy
