First let me say that although I felt that we should have won against miami going into the game, I was never in the camp natty or bust. We lost way too much talent from last year and replaced with very young players its unreasonable to put that kind of pressure on this team ESPECIALLY when your qb is starting his first college games this season. Ive thought since the begining on the season next year is our year.

All this being said let me preface this by saying Sayins play this season overall was above what I would consider average freshman qb play compared to the standard frosh qb. However one thing I think anyone thats regularly watched osu and sayins play would definitely say he left a lot of positive plays on the field just from either not understanding the development of the play or just not seeing it. In my mind this was understandable during the beginning of the season. Hes a freshman. I also think along with Day protecting what he knew was a porus oline we're the two reasons we saw this slow as molasses offence all year.

As the season progressed though I expected to see less and less of those misses but truthfully taking out the Indiana and miami games just because the line was swiss cheese where he had to be seeing ghost I never saw what I would consider growth in sayin seeing the field. I also noticed as the season progressed, Day being animated and showing frustration towards Sayin multiple times coming off the field where clearly Day was seeing something Sayin is not. Anyone else notice Days frustrations or maybe have more insight? Am i still expecting too much of Sayin? Is Day expecting too much? One things for sure an experienced qb is worth gold. Even if its in the form of some d bag named beck
