Yes, OSU messed up the same things they messed up against Indiana - pass blocking, special teams, 3rd down stops. This Buckeye team was a really good team with some flaws.
Let's give credit where credit is due, though. Miami played really really well. I was banking on Cristobal screwing something up - he coached really well. I was counting on Beck throwing an ill-advised INT - he was really good.
Miami played exceptionally well last night. Beck made the right read - including running the ball just enough - pretty much every play. Their non-star WRs made plays - nothing spectacular, but enough plays in key moments with no mistakes. On defense, they hit hard - beyond the DL stunting us to death, the second level really brought the lumber again and again.
I don't know if they will keep winning, but last night, that Miami team played smart, fast, disciplined football. OSU is good enough that it could have won despite that. But I was super impressed with Miami as a balanced and well-coached team that plays fast and hard.
