Well, here we are, front and center of college football, as our Buckeyes will be taking on the University of Miami in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas on New Years Eve.

Miami had a lot of hype before the season started, and many writers picked them as their National Champions.  Then in a three week stretch they lost to both Louisville and SMU. They have a very good defensive line who plays an aggressive style football, and they are able to stop the run, game in and game out as they are stingy and disruptive across the front seven. On offense, they have speed at wide receiver with Malachi Toney, and we will need to bottle him up because he has big play ability and changed the game against A & M.

On the positive side for the Buckeyes - Carson Beck is their QB and has a tendency to throw picks when pressured. If the Buckeyes can pounce on the canes like they did in last year's playoffs, Beck will be hard-pressed to lead any serious comeback for the canes against our no-nonsense defense.  

In the end I believe our defense will stand tall and build that brick wall. We have too many offensive weapons and I personally feel with Day calling the plays, he'll open things up and the Buckeyes will find their rhythm early.

Ohio State - 28

Miami - 13
