Was I in a funk after last night’s game?  Absolutely.  And I’m 72 years old with some major health issues so you’d figure that Ohio State’s loss should not bother me in the least.  But, since you’re on this website and reading this, of course you know it would still bother me.

But I am not pessimistic about what lies ahead.  I’m not foolish enough to claim that I’m completely confident Ohio State will win the national championship.  But I am still completely confident that they are very much in the mix.

Perfect seasons are extremely hard to achieve as exemplified by the fact that there have only been six such seasons in Ohio State history.

So many things can go awry during the course of any season—and, trust me, if you get to be 72 you will witness your share of those.

But I still have great belief in this year’s team and there is no 2020 Alabama team standing in the way of reaching the mountaintop.  So there are so many reasons to remain positive when you consider the overall body of work this season and who the potential opponents are in January.
