The injury bug has bitten J.K. Dobbins again.
The former Ohio State running back will undergo season-ending surgery after suffering ligament damage in his foot during the Denver Broncos’ win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week.
The #Broncos are, in fact, placing JK Dobbins on Injured Reserve with a significant foot injury, per me and @TomPelissero. Dobbins has a ligament issue and will need season-ending surgery. pic.twitter.com/aAuZG7z6oE

The injury occurred on a tackle by Raiders defensive end Tyree Wilson that appeared to be an illegal hip-drop tackle, prompting an angry tweet by Dobbins the following day.
BAN OR ATLEAST CALL THE MUTHER FUCKIN HIP DROP TACKLE!

1. Absolutely a hip drop @NFLOfficiating
2. Concern for Left Midfoot sprain plus possible high ankle. More worried about Midfoot though, which explains why he could play through rest of game (6 touches rest of game, all on last drive).

Dobbins has now suffered season-ending injuries in three of his six NFL seasons, tearing his ACL in 2021 and his Achilles in 2023.
Before the injury, Dobbins had been one of the NFL’s best running backs this season, running for 722 yards on 153 carries – the fifth-most in the league – and four touchdowns in the Broncos’ first 10 games of the year. Now, however, Dobbins will have to work his way back from yet another major injury, all the while he’s set to hit free agency again after signing a one-year contract with the Broncos this past offseason.
